Bobby Reis, Phd, LP

As a licensed psychologist and co-founder of Curiosity Alliance, I provide individual psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and consultation for adults. My practice is grounded in the thoughtful exploration of the patterns, experiences, and relationships that shape how you move through the world. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is the primary vehicle for meaningful change, and I strive to offer individualized, informed care in a reflective, transparent, and supportive environment.

Therapy is a steady process of discovery. Together, through careful attention and meaningful conversation, we work to build insight over time—helping you uncover your strengths, process past experiences, and gain a clearer understanding of yourself and what you need moving forward. I also view mental health through a culturally responsive lens, providing space to explore your unique identities and how environmental factors, privilege, oppression, or discrimination impact your daily life.

As a generalist, I welcome adults navigating a wide spectrum of concerns, meeting you where you are with empathy and perspective. My specific areas of focus include:

  • Identity & Life Transitions: Navigating major life shifts, core values exploration, and personal growth.

  • LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care: Supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals in an affirming space.

  • Men’s Mental Health: Assisting men in exploring emotional wellness, identity, and relational dynamics.

  • Mood & Anxiety: Helping adults manage depression, chronic stress, and anxiety.

Background & Experience I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2007. Early in my career, I gained deep clinical and administrative experience within university mental health settings, culminating in my role as Assistant Director and Director of Clinical Services at the College of William & Mary Counseling Center. In 2014, I transitioned fully from higher education into full-time private practice. This combination of institutional leadership and dedicated private practice experience allows me to offer high-level clinical insight paired with a compassionate, highly personalized approach to individual care.

I welcome the opportunity to connect, discuss your goals, and explore how I can support your process of growth and change.
